Indifferent. With little knowledge of what really goes on, I can only reflect that he got caught whilst many others didn't/don't.

Platelet horrible. Trained off perhaps. If I had a share I would be looking for a different trainer.

Obviously we do not know all of the details, however, the comparison of these cases throws a shadow over the actions of the stewards. The stewards may be absolutely correct but to the average punter this does not look right.

I have marked Paiges Boy as a good bet at $8.5. I cannot understand people laying horses at such prices - so little to gain - like backing a $1.12 favourite. But then again, I understand the concept of laying but may be very naive to the intricate etails of how layers make their money.
So the handicapper got it right from 1st to last - that is impressive!
Dom T is great in SA but as a South Australian I believe that you need the very best jockeys on the best race days. Dom T let the leaders get to big a lead.

Ah Double D's - the gift that keeps on giving.

Massiyn. Purely following L Williams - that is logic enough for me in these crazy maiden dominating times.
Following the upheld protest at Te Rapa I have been on the crappy end of 9 protest decisions in a row including 6 upheld against me. This is enough to make me bet with the corporates. Dummy spit over.

@Calabisca - I think she will be scratched and the weight worries me but she is a horse that has made me good money so I show a lot of faith in her. If she is out then I will be looking to Spirit of Boom and Pago Rock. Good luck and good thread - it is great to get everyone talking.
Well declared Toptipster - skinny odds but a winner nonetheless.
Gospiel $10 fixed on tattsbet - Goldslick $5.50.
Hello Wardy - the points for Can't refuse should be 2.5 - divididend $1.5 plus 1 point for third.
I do not beleive that AJ will be able to show her brilliance at the end of the mad dash that is usually the Cox Plate. Happy to be wrong as I have been many many many times.
Agree that the win and place should be combined for first place. I think the minus 1 is ok for missing a place - you do not get a bigger penalty when you punt on a horse that fails to run a drum. That beings said perhaps minus 2 or 3 points to missing the drum would sharpen the minds of tipsters....
Well done to the podium finisher and our soon to be crowned grand champion.

Hey Butcher, the first race is a 6 horse field. Is your 9 an upside down 6?
