Walk out our back gates and morphetville race course was where I'd grown up. Dad got me into racing from a young age as his Dad did with him. Used to follow him around when he was a bagman and my uncle was racing journalist for the paper here at the time.
currata storm won BMW or whatever it was called back then. I think he was trained by John Hawkes

too late to log bets in for the day but i'm backing lady franchesca in the get out stakes at pakenham. No idea what the market will do in mid week races but she'll be even better if the track improves
Great horses just know how to win, we've seen her put fields away or come back from 1400m to dig deep to beat haylist over 1000m a week later. Awsome to watch Her fight last night and thankyou Nelly. The win in the Goodwood was brilliant. I was watching from the top of the straight that day and s...
just cross with royal academy again, and the champ lives on!
only concerns with Manighar is maybe he's been up too long and the inside draw might go against somehow, but he really is the bet of the day
been confident on sincero before the barrier draw, even better when it drew a good marble, can't have confidence now on any horse on heavy tracks even if they've won on them in the past. don't think there will be a mad rush up front so look for something handy and hope the track drains well
we'll get it back on Gailbraith with good odds in the next at caulfield
Cheers EpicDays, I like Alzean Thunder as well. Never been to a Slipper, hope you enjot it
good race to take that bet in Surround. I'm sticking with Americain, his run in the Australian Cup was brilliant! Just hope his price improves a bit
ocen park tomorrow into ethiopia the derby. Just goning to have a small bet at the pub for intrest.
Fair enough mate, could also do with capitol letters after full stops. My horse got beaten after a pathetic protest was upheld and I think i've got more to be annoyed about than spelling checks. Still some things aren't going to change
he was looking behind him the whole time while moving. rawiller was trying to keep him out there and guthrie was trying to get just on the turn. he was clear enough not to touch the inside horse
nothing in it didin't cost the horse any ground, another pathetic move by stewards. rawiller should also be fined for alleging interfernce in straight. guthrie crossed less than 2 lengths clear, but that gets a suspension, shouldn't cost the race. hope guthrie meets him behind the lockers after t...
you beauty Lynette, retires with a great tough win that epitomises her career. will be missed
good point bretto, it is the Valley, but was wondering that myself. Woorim was just run off his feet though, nothing made ground from the 600. maybe buffering and hay list went a bit too hard out in front
empress rock has the most upside and I'll stick with her, Nolen riding Torah for something speacial in sydney, or does Moody just like Boss?
Her Last Race! I love this horse like she's been one of my own. Haven't got all my bets/tips sorted this early but I believe she's well placed with great form in an otherwise good even field to go out like she should! She loves the Valley and has eaten better horses, I'm backing Lady Lynette for ...
satin shoes $8, shopaholic $3.60, hanks$6 = $172. can't find market yet for Steps In Time on sunday, but should be about $3.50. Satin Shoes also entered morphetville on monday, but i think she's better placed at flemington saturday
will be tipping Zamaora simply because I've booked, backed and tipped him since his after 1st start and believe he'll make a group 1 horse. If Satin Shoes scratches flemington and goes to morph with less weight, the trick is the inside barriers out of that 1200m chute can make it tough to find a ...
Yeah I like Ginga Dude. Tough day, but could be a lot of fun and value in every race if your not too serious. Inablitz been a blackbooker for a while but barrier 2 is a worry. Big odds and if gets a run will give em something to think about. Doubtful Jack in very well and great value.
g'day people, first time on a blog, but been enjoying reading your comments.I think the derby winner has to carry wfa, whilst most older horses get in well under hence not many 3yo's running in the cup. The problems for local breeders trying to breed for a cup goes far. for instance High quality ...
