Hi all! I'm an NRL tips provider who has been following the game thoroughly since 1990. You can read my weekly NRL previews and get free betting tips by googling 'The Long Hard Look with Mike Wilson' Follow me on twitter @TheLongHardLook
You mean McCracken was involved in dumping someone on their head?
I can confirm through a friend overseas that this is in fact an error on the odds comparison site and not 888 Sport.
It's also worth noting that Johns went on to finish 2nd in the Dally M's in 2005 by a whisker even though he played approximately half as many games as winner Johnathan Thurston that year.
I have made some posts in the past but am not really a newbie but am mostly just a reader here. My knack is with NRL and NRL betting.I know a little bit about horse racing but have so much to learn that there isn't much point in me making comments here unless it's answering something basic like, ...
I give Todd Carney a little chance of playing and little chance of playing any good if he does take the field. Sharks and Sea Eagles do play a similar style but the Sea Eagles do it at a much better level.
Good on you DRBRO! I hope I've been able to help you find a winner or two this year.
Hi durbridge, nice to hear from you,There's no doubt the Storm are a class act and you're definitely right in saying that they were impressive against the Knights considering the penalty count etc being against them. It just goes to show that the Storm are one of the best sides at controlling gam...
I agree with Camper and WATIPS:- 1 in 3 is the number I've always been told.- Point 7 seems weird saying to get the most benefit out of a particular horse, when the whole idea of dutching is to get benefit out of multiple horses right?
I can appreciate comments like these. If you guys genuinely believe particular jockeys are duds, I would certainly like to know for when I have my horse bets. I need all the help I can get.
I don't know if this thread is solely related to horses, or all sports in general, but I every now and then use tatts to bet on the NRL when they have better or equal odds to the corporates. To say I'm getting 'gross unders' on average according to my spreadsheets is just plain incorrect.
'Specialise' is a great one Camper and probably one of the first stepping stones towards successful punting.I only tip on NRL. Sure I also love Cricket, Formula One, Golf and Horse Racing but NRL is my specialty. I reckon the bookies rub their hands together each time they take a multi bet that c...
Hmm, 14 comments were just deleted.
This is crazy!! I've been reading these threads that gartman and WA TIPS have been writing over the last few weeks. I don't comment on them because I only do NRL tipping and have a very limited knowledge of horse racing. For someone like me these threads have been great. I don't really care if th...
I just got back from Vegas yesterday and I whilst I only have a recreational punt on horse racing in Australia, the US horse racing set up was very boring and unappealing to me. In my short time there (so this probably isn't derived from a very big sample of races) I found also that a lot of favo...
I've made it back safe and sound and must say I had a blast! Definitely put Vegas on your bucket lists folks! But I'm glad to be watching Aussie horse racing again, American horse racing was boring! (In my humble opinion :)
Some doctors are actually advocates for use of growth hormones during injury time and pre season in the NRL.
Another great thread, I hope to see more like it!
I've had a little lash at Bulldogs 1-12, Manly 1-12 and Panthers 13+
I'd put it on NSW in the State of Origin.
Ha ha! For that song I'll throw you a fiver ;)Don't worry mate, I'll look after ya :)
Mars WATIPS CARD was clearly just offering a different point of view as requested by other users. I don't think it's fair that you try to berate him/her like that. Otherwise this is quite an interesting thread concept, good work guys. I have little knowledge of horses but certainly enjoy a fun fl...
After seeing those ground conditions at ANZ Stadium on Saturday night It should be safe to say we can expect a lower and closer scoring game between two sides of a much higher quality than depleted Knights and Rabbitohs outfits.
Hi RaceTipper, sorry I'm late in getting back to you. Thanks for your interest and if you want to see my weekly previews, tips and best bets (they're free!) please send me your email. Thanks and good luck with your tipping :)
Maybe one day Luc could organise a horse that we could buy 1-5% shares in!
FOO came back from 2 injuries to win a Cox Plate no less as a 9 year old.
News LTD are the only reason they are still in the comp! If you're looking to buy the Storm you have to be prepared to part with about $5mil a year.
I'd like to humbly disagree MrMchappy.I've been able to find value in the NRL for years and think it's one of the better sports for betting. (Not that I really bet on any others.)As for either constantly betting on the favourite, or non favourite, well you're obviously not going to profit either ...
I just checked your results. Am I looking at the wrong section or doing something wrong?
Not sure but both have been named in this week's teams.
Was just reading your bit on the difference between Pearce and Reynolds. Good comments. I enjoy your racing insights too. I don't comment much but I often read. Good luck if you're punting today :)
Are you only aware of the USA's love of guns now McHappy?
We both agree that it's a second half bet and that the first half has nothing to do with it. But he can't seem to see that -6.5 in the second half has to, in turn mean that the Storm have to win the entire game by 17 or more for the bet to be successful. As soon as I say that he says 'No, forget...
