According to racenet it wrenched a joint. Trainer talk for we can't beat IAD.
I think Blake Shinn may of had a cry about some treatment and lawyers might now be involved. The hide of him to bet aginst a horse he is riding on and then whinge when people give him a spray. Those who backed it each way and he ran 4th should be paid out by Blake.
These fields sizes are a result of crap programming. We have Randwick today, Black type racing at Newcastle tommorow, Canterbury Friday night Rosehill Saturday and Kembla has its biggest day of the year on Sunday. Far too many meetings taking each others runners. Some of these trainers had their ...
You can't just look at the sire when assessing the horses wet track prospects. Genral Nediym is not a great wet track sire and Military Roses mother is by Flying Spur and they don't all handle the going either. Her grandmother is by Marauding and they are hopeless in the wet. They get a fright if they hear a tap dripping. Another warm and sunny day out hear at Rosehill anyway. If we have no further rain there is no reason other than previous artificial watering for the track not to be in the dead range.
Midas commented on FAR QUE Whip Rules.... List your hard luck story..
DJ - I agree with you regarding horses next start after a flogging or a gutbuster. I put horses on the lay list if they have been hit hard 15 times. I was just thinking that if you black book a horse with comments to lay it next start it doesn't help the insider selections. Maybe we should have a...
No one has mentioned Phelan Ready? It would have to go close after he's run against the older group horses.
Manly can't blame post State of Origin for all of their other woeful performances this season. I think they are under the odds. They have not played very well in many games at all. Knights are 5th on the ladder and Manly 8th. The game is at a neutral venue. That is why the Knights are a decent ga...
Does anyone know if Yoshi & Winterbottom are correct?
That's a blessing for the Pom's. Do you think the other English players enjoy watching Petersen's rediculous shots when getting out? He is a burden to the team dynamics .
I love how people say when Queensland act like clowns esp Hodges they are "sticking up for a brother" but when Waterhouse runs to a fight to help a mate he is a dog. Good talk guys. Do you really think Waterhouse would have tackled Price if he knew he was knocked out. I think he probably did him ...
My daughter's name is Amelia so the first time I heard Gai Waterhouse speak of Amelia's Dream before she had raced, I had $20 on her to win the Golden Slipper @ $81. I was pretty happy with myself when she won the silver slipper by 6 lengths in record time only to hear she went amiss the next day...
They would rather win $20k for this race than barrier trial the horse on another bog sydney track. I would say he will be closer to $1.20. He's got 61kg's and is giving away 8 kilo's but it wont matter.
Penrickson will probably lead at a fair clip here. He broke Forensic's 1550m track record at Canterbury last prep leading all the way.
Looks to be a fair bit of speed in this with Gold Trail, Disciplined and Keen Commander all likely to go forward. Kaphero and Murtajill like to race handy also. Watch for Hoystar to rattle home late. Has run some crackers fresh in the past.
Frosty has a good chance but can be hard to catch. Do yourself a favour and save a buck by backing the 12.
Everyone says Flemington is Zagreb's right tack but he hasn't been placed in 3 goes their. Were they in unsuitable races? I can't remember them.
I am agreeing with you. 1.24.7 isn't all that quick though. the track record for Sandown Hill is 1.22.00 held by swick. A fast race can be considered to be run within 2 seconds of the track recoed. This race was not. I think the leaders in this race were stopping faster than Huxssen was coming on...
Don't go backing her in Sydney. I'm pretty sure she's not going that way. Will run in Melbourne if she runs.
I think she is heading towards the group 1 Sangster stakes in Adelaide.
I thought sportsbet's best place price was only available if you back it each way not place only! Can you get best tote when only backing the place?
The Duke has glue on shoes today. What's that about? Don't want to take evens to find out.
Whobegotyou should stay to my eye. His sire is Street cry won 5 of 12 starts to 2000m including the group 1 breeders cup juvenille race over 1700m. he was the horse of the year in the United Arab Emirates. Street Cry is by group 1 winning horse Machiavalian in France and Street Cry's Dam Helen's Strret won the Irish Oaks over 2400m. Helen Street is by Troy who won group 1 several group 1 races over distance. Including English, Irish derbies and QE Stakes all over 2400m. WBGY dam is Temple of Peace who is by Carnegie winner of the Prix de l'arc de Triomphe over 2400m. Looks stoutly bred enough for me to suggest he will stay....
First ever bet was a box trifecta when I was in year 10 at High School. Backed little Red Dragon because I follow St George ( don't hold that against me) through in a horse called Dad and another called Laudham Mist because it had my number from footy. The trifecta got up and paid $600. I've been...
