Hull FC winger Rob Worrincy has signed for National League side Sheffield Eagles with Hull FC's blessing.

Worrincy, who recently joined the club from Doncaster Rugby Union, has not been able to force his way into Hull's Super League team.

Hull feel the under 21s competition is not helping his development and he needs to play in a stronger competition like the National League One.

Chief Executive James Rule said: "Rob hasn't been able to break into the Super League team and we feel the under 21s is not of a sufficiently high standard to challenge and develop him as he or we would like.

"When the opportunity arose for him to join Sheffield Eagles we felt it was an excellent chance for him to develop at a higher level and naturally we didn't want to stand in his way.

"This is an excellent opportunity for Rob to gain the kind of experience he is looking for and we feel that needs to ultimately come through.

"We will of course, monitor his progress with the Eagles and plan to sit down and talk to him at the end of the season."
