Whiting was charged by the Match Review Panel yesterday and was banned for one game after electing to take an Early Guilty Plea.
No other players were suspended from last weekend's action with Kevin Sinfield escaping being charged despite being put on report during the Rhinos 32-12 loss against St Helens.
