LONDON, July 10 PA - Warrington are almost certain to be without Australian forward Trent Waterhouse for Sunday's Carnegie Challenge Cup semi-final after he was taken to hospital with an eye injury during Monday night's win over Catalan Dragons.

The former Penrith Panthers second-rower took a head knock half an hour into the win over the Dragons, and although he stayed on until half-time, he complained of blurred vision and was taken to hospital for treatment.

"He had bleeding in the eye," said Wolves coach Tony Smith. "He's had it before, not with us, but earlier in his career.

"Our initial thoughts were that he'd be out for a couple of weeks but he saw a consultant yesterday who said it might well settle down by the weekend.

"So we'll keep that option open. We certainly won't take any risks but we've been told not to rule him out entirely."
