Another round of the VB NSW Cup that was affected by the big wet in Sydney during recent weeks, however ultimately, just the one match was not played, with the Tigers V Knights fixture being shifted to Campbelltown on the Sunday.

Manly Sea Eagles v Windsor Wolves
The round kicked off in earnest on the Saturday when the Windsor Wolves consolidated their place in the top four with a hard earned victory against the Sea Eagles at Brookvale Oval. The full time score of 20-6 perhaps flattered the visitors somewhat as the game was locked up at 6-6 at half time, and it was only a late Liam Ayoub intercept try that put things out of reach for Manly.

Tries: J Williams
Goals: D Chisholm
Windsor Wolves 20
Tries: A Cherrington 2, L Ayoub, L Capewell

Auckland Vulcans v Cronulla Sharks
Early Sunday time here in Australia, the Auckland Vulcans managed to do what no other club in the VB NSW Cup has been able to do in 2013, and that was defeat the Cronulla Sharks. Perhaps the writing was on the wall the week before when the Sharks snuck home 18-16 against the Jets, and ironically that was the same score line at Mt Smart with both sides scoring three tries a piece but the home side did the job with the boot to claim a famous victory.

Auckland Vulcans 18
Tries: T Ropati, S Waetford, N Laumape
Goals: S Taukeiaho 2, N Laumape
Cronulla Sharks 16
