SYDNEY, April 26 AAP - Three of the NRL's highest profile player managers have reportedly been suspended from the game for six months for their roles in the Melbourne Storm salary cap saga.

News Limited reported that George Mimis, David Riolo and Isaac Moses have been banned from representing hundreds of rugby league's biggest names due to the parts they played in the Storm cap rorting that resulted in the Melbourne team being stripped of two premierships in 2010.

A fourth manager, Allan Gainey, has been handed an official warning after he reportedly pleaded guilty of contributing to cap rorting to the Player Agent Accreditation Committee.

The four managers act for 13 players the NRL's independent audit named as receiving wrongful payments including Billy Slater (Mimis), Greg Inglis (Gainey) and Ryan Hoffman (Riolo).

An official announcement is expected later on Thursday.
