Salford City Reds utility back Marc Sneyd today signed a new two-year deal to stay at Salford City Stadium until 2015.

Sneyd, who has been at Salford since he was 14, has come through the junior ranks and is currently enjoying his most prolific season in the first team having established himself in the side with two tries and six assists alongside 28 goals.

The news follows on from contract extensions for Martin Gleeson and Shannan McPherson, and yesterday’s long-term capture of Leeds Rhinos’ pack star Darrell Griffin and a three-and-a-half-year deal.

“I’m really pleased to have signed this extended deal," said Marc, "I have been at Salford a long time now and I want to be here while all this exciting stuff is going on. I want to be here when this team is hopefully reaching the Playoffs every year and winning trophies.

“It’s going to be a very exciting couple of years at Salford. Brian Noble has come in and it’s been excellent working with him. He’s a great coach.

“It’s been really easy dealing with the Club to get this sorted out and I’m excited about what I can achieve here in the next couple of seasons.”
