Curtis Sironen has been named at five-eighth to take on the competition front runners Melbourne Storm this Friday night at AAMI Park.

Sironen made his NRL debut two weeks ago against the Cowboys and scored his first try in last Saturday night's 40-0 win over the Raiders.

Despite the Storm being without "The Big Three" in Billy Slater, Cameron Smith and Cooper Cronk, who are away on Origin duty, Head Coach Tim Sheens is still extremely wary of Craig Bellamy's men.

"Our main thing is to concentrate on our preparation. We haven't beaten Melbourne in Melbourne as a franchise. I don't think anyone takes Melbourne lightly down there.

"They can grind out a win, they can beat you by 40 and they can beat you by two. They just have that attitude and culture that if they hang in there they can get you. So we'll have to play 80 minutes of football to beat them," he said.

Captain Robbie Farah, who is also on Origin duty, will be replaced by Tom Humble.

Wests Tigers: Tim Moltzen, Matt Utai, Beau Ryan, Chris Lawrence, Lote Tuqiri, Curtis Sironen, Benji Marshall [c], Aaron Woods, Tom Humble, Keith Galloway, Adam Blair, Liam Fulton, Chris Heighington. Subs: Masada Iosefa, Blake Ayshford, Matt Bell, Ben Murdoch-Masila, Joel Reddy (one to be omitted).
