Sheens has some decisions to make

Tim Sheens has a number of decisions to make regarding his team to take on the in-form Rabbitohs this Sunday at ANZ Stadium.

With a number of players injured in last night's 29-16 defeat to the Cowboys, Sheens indicated that he will name his replacements as the week progresses.

Tim Moltzen (hamstring), Curtis Sironen (dislocated shoulder), Chris Lawrence (high ankle sprain) and Ben Murdoch-Masila (ankle) have come back from the Townsville trip with injuries and Sheens said that all four would miss this week's match.

"Curtis will be out for the season. (At this stage) our doctor's opinion is that he'll need a reconstruction.

"Scans on Chris Lawrence's leg will give us an idea of whether or not it's going to be a month or more or slightly less.

"Tim Moltzen, probably a couple of weeks, maybe a week, like one game."

He also confirmed that Murdoch-Masila is out for up to two weeks.

However, despite the big injury toll, Sheens remained upbeat and said that his team have dealt with these issues before.

"We've still got our two key playmakers in Farah/Marshall on the field, touch wood, and our forward pack is intact," Sheens offered.

"Football's about finding a replacement, some young kid steps up. I know they're not as experienced and so on.

"We've got some good young talent so we'll work hard with them during the week and the next couple of weeks to bring them up to speed.

"The next 6 weeks is going to be high pressure football for everybody. Everyone's got their issues. We're not going to panic or start whinging about it. My job is to put a team back together and get back on deck."
