In the opening match, current holders Wigan Warriors face defending Super League champions Leeds Rhinos in a replay of last year's decider. Wigan took out the game 28-18 and will look to reproduce the form that has them three points clear of the English Super League.
Aussie and ex-NRL players in action include Brett Finch, Pat Richards, George Carmont, Jeff Lima (Wigan), Brett Delaney and Brent Webb (Leeds). LIVE coverage of Wigan v Leeds kicks off at 2.30am on Sunday.
Warrington Wolves and Huddersfield Giants clash in the other semi-final with Brett Hodgson's Wolves looking to make it three grand final appearances in four years.
Warrington defeated Huddersfield in the 2009 Challenge Cup final and currently boast an international line-up featuring Hodgson, Trent Waterhouse, Adrian Morley and Joel and Michael Monaghan. Ex-Cowboy Luke O'Donnell heads the big names for Huddersfield.
