Harlequins RL have extended the contract of exciting young stand off Dan Sarginson. They have extended his original two-year deal by another year, which now includes the 2012, and 2013 seasons.

The 18-year-old from Hemel burst onto the scene in July scoring two tries on his Super League debut against Salford at the Willows. Having made a try-scoring appearance off the bench for the first team in the Challenge Cup tie with Gateshead Thunder in May, Dan's opportunities were limited due to him sitting his A-levels. However he has impressed in the last three Super League games and head coach Rob Powell believes there is another home-grown star in the making.

"Dan Sarginson's one of the most exciting players London has produced," he said. "He's already established himself in Super League through his performances over the last few weeks. We see the contracting of players like him as the way this club is going to build and go forward."
