The Sydney Roosters have finished strongly to secure the two points against the Knights at Allianz Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

While the game started slowly, it was the Roosters who dominated the second half, scoring three impressive tries to record a good win in front of a passionate home crowd.

The game started with a clever short kick off from the Roosters, with the home side regaining possession straight from the get-go.

But it was the Knights who went close to scoring first, with James McManus unable to gather a pass from Darius Boyd out on the wing.

The Roosters had their own troubles holding onto the ball up the other end, with Braith Anasta dropping the ball just metres away from the Knights' line in the 21st minute.

It looked as though Shaun Kenny-Dowall was to post first points of the afternoon in the 28th minute, but the video referee found a Knights defender was impeded in his attempt to defend his line, handing the visitors a penalty to work their way out of their own half.

Jarrod Mullen finally opened the scoring in the 31st minute, slicing his way through the Tricolours defence to claim a vital four points.

But the home side hit straight back via Tinirau Arona just four minutes later to level the scores at six-all.

A dangerous tackle from Joel Edwards allowed Anasta to kick his side in front right on halftime, going into the break up by two.

While the second half took some time to get going, it certainly began to open up for the home side.

Tries to Mitchell Aubusson, Sam Perrett and Mitchell Pearce in the space of 13 minutes turned a grinding encounter on its head, as the young Roosters outfit went on to post a solid 24-6 win.
