The South Sydney Rabbitohs are pleased to announce the contract extension of winger Andrew Everingham for season 2013 today.
Everingham, 25, took the NRL by storm after making his first grade debut in round three this season, scoring eight tries in his first six matches.
Everingham's performances on field coupled with his training efforts throughout the pre-season and season proper led the Rabbitohs to reward him with a contract extension.
Rabbitohs Head Coach Michael Maguire says Everingham is developing into a quality first grade footballer.
"It's a credit to Andrew to have earned this new contract," Coach Maguire said.
"He's worked extremely hard at his game since joining the Club last November and that's been reflected in the wonderful start he's had to his NRL career.
"He's progressing as a player every week, and his hard work has put him in a position to compete on a weekly basis for a spot on the end of our backline.
"We're lucky to have quite a bit of talent in our outside backs and Andrew is now a contender for those spots each week, which is healthy for the team to have good options to pick from.
"We're all looking forward to continuing our work with Andrew and watching him develop further as an NRL player."
Everingham added: "I'm really grateful that the Rabbitohs have shown faith in me to re-sign me for another year and hopefully I can repay that faith with some strong performances on the field.
"The Members have been very supportive of me and the team this season and I look forward to playing for them now and in the future."
