The Ipswich Jets have taken their frustrations out on the Sunshine Coast, recording a vital 30-18 victory in their Intrust Super Cup match at the North Ipswich Reserve.

Playing their first match since April 14 due to a bye and a wash out, the Jets were eager to put their best foot forward in the round eight match.

Although a little "rusty", the Jets played with plenty of energy and intensity, skipping out to an early 16-0 lead.

The silky skills of electric Sunshine Coast fullback Hughie Stanley kept the Sea Eagles in the game on the stroke of half-time when he defused an Ipswich bomb and sprinted away for a breathtaking long range try.

But with a 16-6 half-time lead, the Jets were always in control and they set the wheels in motion for their third victory of the season when fullback Javarn White returned fire with a 48th minute try.

Queensland Residents players Lorenzo Maafu and Ramon Filipine were particularly destructive for the Jets.

Ipswich coaches Ben and Shane Walker will now turn their attention to a tough round nine clash against the in-form Mackay Cutters in Mackay.

The Jets' depth will be put to the test, with skipper Keiron Lander and Todd Riggs both unavailable ? while a number of other players are under injury clouds.

Players from Ipswich's FOGS Cup team will now come into consideration for selection.

The Jets FOGS scored a 44-16 win over the Sunshine Coast, with tries coming from Trivendra Naidu (2), James Stephensen, Jermaine Alberts, Kevin Bell, Chris Porter, Smith Samau and Khan Ahwang.

Meanwhile, the Sea Eagles' next Intrust Super Cup match is against the Easts Tigers at Langlands Park on Saturday.

IPSWICH JETS 30 (Javarn White 2, Jarrod McInally 2, Ramon Filipine, Ian Lacey tries; Brendon Lindsay 3 goals) def SUNSHINE COAST SEA EAGLES 18 (Hughie Stanley, Mitchell Buckett, Brenton Stonier tries; Dale Middleton 3 goals) at North Ipswich Reserve.
