Jets posted a comfortable 26-12 win over the Central Capras in Blackwater on Saturday.

"It was a grinding win," said Jets co-coach Ben Walker.

"They're (Capras) pretty honest, they played well."

Played in heavy conditions, the round 17 clash never reached any great heights but in an encouraging sign for Jets fans, the Ipswich team controlled the game nicely to record their 11th win of the season.

Big winger Ramon Filipine notched a double to take his season tally to 18 tries, while Jarrod McInally also found the line to follow on from his hat-trick the previous week.

The Jets have an opportunity to consolidate their spot in the top five next Saturday when they host the Souths Logan Magpies at the North Ipswich Reserve at 3pm.

The Capras will play the Mackay Cutters at Browne Park on Sunday.

IPSWICH JETS 26 (Ramon Filipine 2, Jarrod McInally, Keiron Lander, Michael Fisher tries; Brendon Lindsay 3 goals) def CQ CAPRAS 12 (Sailosi Vatubua, James Taputu-Crombie tries; Tyron Cranston 2 goals) at Blackwater.
