Almost 50 Gold Coast primary school students will take centre stage in the Investorfirst Mini League at halftime in the Titans vs Panthers clash at Skilled Park on Sunday to help celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Gold Coast Primary Schools Rugby League.
The Gold Coast branch of Investorfirst and the Jetstar Titans are giving primary school students from Mudgeeraba State School, Elanora State School, St Francis Xavier and Worongary State School the chance to walk in the footsteps of their heroes in front of thousands of fans at Skilled Park on Sunday afternoon.
Gold Coast District Junior Rugby League clubs regularly take part in the Investorfirst Mini League program at Titans home games throughout the season but as a special one-off activity for Sunday's clash against Penrith, it will be the primary school students that will take centre stage to the mark the 50th anniversary of primary school rugby league on the Gold Coast.
In preparation for their big day, Under-10s players from Mudgeeraba State School today attended a Titans training session to meet the likes of Titans stars Scott Prince, Jamal Idris, Kevin Gordon, Luke Douglas and
Investorfirst Master Stockbroker Haydn Froggatt said the organisation was proud to be supporting junior rugby league on the Gold Coast.

The Gold Coast Primary Schools' Rugby League began in 1962 when Murray Clarke combined with Miami publican, Pat Kelly, and Rugby Union identity, Bill McLean, to organise and fund a Saturday competition between local primary schools.
By the early 1970s, over 90 teams were competing in regular interschool competition. Today, just under 100 teams are catered for in regular competition in four age divisions, from 10 to 13 year olds. The competition is split into two districts ? Gold Coast North and Gold Coast South.
