It wasn't always pretty, but a courageous performance from the Roosters youngsters saw the home side make it two in a row, winning 34-24 at Allianz Stadium.

The match went through number of phases as both sides dominated for certain periods but the Tricolours dogged determination proved the difference.

Joseph Forrester was a stand out for the home side with a damaging performance in the centres while the engine room again dominated for the majority of the match.

Both sides came out firing and after a try a piece the scores were locked at six all after just seven minutes.

The Tricolours then took charge of the match, two quick tries putting the home side in to a commanding position heading in to the break.

Forrester scored the first making easy work of his opposite number powering over the defence before a Dylan Napa line break helped post the Roosters third.

The front rower raced 40 metre down field before showing great vision to offload to Corey Mcgrady to further extend the home side's lead.

Canberra slotted a penalty goal after the buzzer to sit just eight behind heading in to the break.

It was a disastrous start to the second stanza for the Tricolours as the Raiders posted the first three tries to lead with just twenty minutes to play.

Luckily just as we have come to expect from our young stars the boys rallied and worked their way back in to the match.

The Raiders had a man sent to the sin bin with twenty minutes to go and the home side took full advantage scoring the last three tries to run away with the victory.

Hard running forward Inoke Vunipola got the try fest under way as he crashed over from close range before Ryley Jacks added a third just three minutes later.

Usaia O'Sullivan sealed the result in the 68th minute when he practically caught the ball over the line after a brilliant run from lock Jack Siejka.

And yes you read it correctly, Tai Tuivasa didn't score today, although he did drop the ball as he was about to cross to make it 4 for the season.
