The South Sydney Rabbitohs Toyota Cup under 20s team have smashed the Gold Coast Titans 48-6 in emphatic fashion.

The Rabbitohs scored eight tries to one in a pleasing attacking and defensive display away from home.

The Rabbitohs dominated the first 40 minutes, running in five unanswered converted tries to lead 30-nil at the break.

Front-rower Jordan Tuiavii scored a double in the first half, demonstrating the dominance of the Rabbitohs in the middle of the field.

Tuiavii scored his first try in the 13th minute, with second rower Brad Croad scoring two minutes later to take the scores to 12-nil.

Tuiavii crossed for his second in the 34th minute of play, followed quickly by a long range try to utility Siosaia Tanginoa in the 36th minute and halfback Luke Keary in the final minute of the half.

Apisai Koroisau had his kicking boot on in the first half, converting all five tries to take the scores to 30-nil at the break.

South Sydney had almost 60% of the possession in the first half and they were converting that into points.

The Rabbitohs were first to score in the second half whistle, with winger Aaron Gray crossing in the 53rd minute from a Keary kick. Koroisau's conversion took the scores to 36-nil.

The Titans struck their first blow in the 61st minute when centre Sam Johnson scored. Kayne Elgey converted to reduce the deficit to 30 points with 17 minutes remaining.

The Rabbitohs struck back quickly, with Keary crossing for his second try in the 65th minute of play, followed by his third try in the 72nd minute, with Koroisau converting both to extend the advantage to 42 points.

The Rabbitohs maintained the pressure on the Titans, camping themselves in their end of the field for final minutes, withe Rabbitohs running out eventual winners 48 points to 6.

This convincing victory moves the Rabbitohs into seventh position on the Toyota Cup ladder.
