The NSW Cup Cronulla Sharks kept their perfect record intact when they defeated the Canterbury Bulldogs at Sharks Stadium on Saturday for their sixth win on the trot.

The Sharks trailed 16-12 at half time and were made to work hard by the Canterbury side before prevailing by 28-16 to move clear on top of the NSW Cup ladder.

With the likes of Sam Tagataese and Mark Taufua leading the way in the middle of the ruck and ball players Tyrone Peachey and Brett Finch reaping the rewards, the Sharks crossed for six tries on the afternoon in another impressive outing.

While Finch and Peachey earned the majority of praise for their performances, Peachey making it eight tries this year with a double against the Dogs, Sosaia Feki out wide did all that was asked fo him, touching down for three four pointers of hios own on the day.

Fijian flyer Alipate Ratini has also been a consistent finisher for the Sharks, adding to his impressive tally with his seventh try so far this season.

While their NRL counterparts have the weekend off due to the representative fixtures, the NSW Cup Sharks will be in action as they try to extend their unbeaten streak to seven. They play the Manly Sea Eagles at Henson Park on Saturday, kicking off at 1.00pm.
