London Broncos head coach Tony Rea has named his squad to face St Helens on Friday 9th August at Langtree Park, kick-off 8pm.

Named in the team is 19-year-old centre or full back Iliess Macani from the Broncos under 19s team. Along with Macani, Joel Wicks and James Woodburn Hall will also be looking for further first team appearances having played four and five games respectively this season.

"There's a couple of guys in our under 19s that have been performing really strongly all year,” said Rea. "They had a fantastic performance against the high flying Leeds Rhinos on Saturday and they've just played themselves into spots, we just have to play them, they are playing such good footy.

"We want to see them in the Super League environment, their football is good enough and they are playing well. I believe they are right to handle it.

Alex Hurst is named in the squad and Rea said: "Alex Hurst is getting himself ready for the Rugby League World Cup with Scotland and he's been playing particularly well on dual registration. It would be good to see him get out there and compete.

Also named in the squad is David Howell, the centre has been training after recovering from complications to the broken arm which he sustained in the opening game of the season. Howell played in the Cup quarter final against Bradford Bulls and rounds 15 and 16 of Super League before requiring further time out to correct the problem.

The club have ended the loan periods of Ryan Shaw, Jacob Fairbank and Rhodri Lloyd. The club wishes the players well for their respective futures.

"They've done a terrific job and proven themselves to be Super League players, we'll have a look at some of our own over the next couple of weeks and reward their performances in the season and use the time to build.”

Rea also confirmed that Michael Robertson and Luke Dorn have undergone surgery, with both having played their last games of the season, while Scott Wheeldon tore a calf in Thursday night's game against Leeds with no date set on his return.
