Latham Tawhai has left his post as London Broncos assistant coach to start up a new business with his wife in the north Wales town of Glan Conwy.

The New Zealander had been a part of the Broncos coaching set up for 5 years after joining the club from London Skolars back in 2007.

With the birth of his son just months ago, Latham had planned to move at the end of the season to be closer to his extended family. As mid season approached a business opportunity arose allowing Latham and his family the chance to move sooner.

"One of the main reasons for the move is to be nearer to family. We've been fortunate enough to be able to set up a business which will allow us to spend quality time with the young fella in a beautiful part of the UK and we'll also be nearer the grandparents which is great. I'll do a bit of work for Raging Bull sportswear as well so there is plenty going on. Hopefully I'll get to stay in coaching too."

"I've thoroughly enjoyed my time at the club and have certainly got a lot out of it. It's been a heck of a rollercoaster ride at times but that's all part of it.

"We've always had a good bunch of people throughout the club so it's been a pleasure working here."

"I'd like to say thanks to Rob and the club for the support in allowing me this opportunity to move on and I wish them and the boys all the best in the future."

London Broncos would like to thank Latham for his outstanding contribution to the club over the past five years and wish him every success in his new business and all the best for the future.
