SYDNEY, April 22 AAP - New Zealand five-eighth Kieran Foran will miss next month's Anzac Test as well as a month of NRL after being ruled out for four weeks with a knee injury.

The tough playmaker suffered the injury in Manly's controversial win over North Queensland on Friday night.

With the Sea Eagles missing halfback Daly Cherry-Evans, Foran opted to play out the game despite suffering the significant injury in the second half of the Gosford clash.

Foran was in a brace at Sea Eagles training on Tuesday and the club confirmed in a statement he would be out of action for a month.

"A medial ligament injury expected to sideline the Kiwi international for around four weeks," the statement said.

That will rule him out of the New Zealand side to play Australia in Sydney on May 2.

The news is a big blow to the coach Stephen Kearney's Kiwi side, who will also be without hooker Issac Luke.

The Souths rake has a shoulder injury.

New Zealand have not won the international fixture since it became an annual part of the representative calendar in 2004.
