Sydney Roosters back rower Mitchell Aubusson will play his 100th NRL game this weekend against the Warriors at Mount Smart Stadium.

We caught up with Aubo to discuss his career so far and what may lie ahead for the youngster.

100 games you must be honoured?

Yeah to achieve the honour at such a proud club is great. I started around the same time as Pearcey and SKD and they managed to get there just before me because of my injury last year but it is a goal I set myself at the start of the year and I am glad to get there!

What has been the career highlight so far?

It is pretty hard to pinpoint one moment. There has been a number of highs and lows, I have experienced everything from last to second and making the grand final was great but I just think the general feeling of winning is great.

Your one game so far at captain must have been up there?

Yeah receiving that honour in the first game of the season is something I will never forget. It was more of a personal milestone though but for me playing footy is more about what we achieve as a team.

Did you ever imagine as a kid you would end up playing 100 games as a professional athlete?

When your younger all you ever dream about is playing just that one game and when you finally achieve that you are happy just to get to ten games. After that I wanted to reach 50 games and it just keeps going, the more you play the more you just want to continue.

If you weren't playing in the NRL what would you be doing?

I couldn't really tell you. I know for sure that I would still be playing club footy with my mates. I have a diploma in business and a few real estate tickets so probably something in the business world.

From NRL player to CEO?

I do come upstairs every now and then and keep an eye on Noycey so you never know!

The club has recently re-signed Mini who looks set to finish his career a one club player, is that something that you are aiming for?

Yeah definitely I would like that to be the case but I know how difficult it is for that to happen. It is not a common thing and Mini is a great exception and he deserves it for everything he's done but I have been around long enough to see that in footy club's a lot of things can change in a short period of time.

Nearly 10 weeks in to the season how have you rated your form so far?

There are definitely a number of things I am still working on and there were a few things I was working on during the pre-season so hopefully I start to reap the rewards from all that hard work soon.

There seems to be a really good feel amongst the boys at the moment?

Yeah everyone has fit in really well and everyone here is really close. We often all do things together, we had a big breakfast together the other day which is something I don't think most other clubs would do.

Big task to win your 100th game over in New Zealand, what are your expectations for the match?

The Warriors are a different outfit over there and we have to play really well to knock them off but we definitely have the ability to do it and I'm confident that we will.
