Maroons have today confirmed that Greg Inglis will replace Billy Slater at fullback for the deciding match of this year's Origin series.

Inglis' move to fullback provides an opportunity for Dane Nielsen, who will line up for his third Origin match at left centre.

Nielsen played in the opening two matches of the 2011 series and is one of several current Maroons to have come through the ranks of the Queensland Academy of Sport Emerging Origin squad.

Matt Scott will link with the Maroons today and is expected to play on Wednesday night.

Maroons coach Mal Meninga has confirmed that Ben Te'o will start on the interchange bench, with David Taylor returning to club side South Sydney Rabbitohs this weekend.

Matt Bowen will also return to club duties but the livewire Cowboy will return to the Maroons camp after the weekend to fulfill 18th man duties.
