SYDNEY, June 20 AAP - Melbourne Storm have secured the services of utility forward Ryan Hinchcliffe until the end of the 2016 NRL season, ending speculation the 27-year-old would join Parramatta.

Hinchcliffe signed the new deal on Wednesday with veteran prop Jason Ryles and front-rower Siosaia Vave also put pen to paper on new contracts.

Storm general manager of football operations Frank Ponissi said re-signing Hinchcliffe was a huge boost for the club, which currently sits top of the NRL ladder.

"To say we are pleased is an understatement," Ponissi said.

"Hinchy had a very difficult decision to make and the fact he has committed his long-term future to the club is a tremendous show of faith by him."

Ryles has found a new lease on life under coach Craig Bellamy after being released by Sydney Roosters and Vave has impressed after breaking into the side this year.

"Craig has been really pleased with performance of our front row this season," Ponissi said.

"It's an area we have experienced significant turnover in over the last couple of years, so stability was a focus in our retention strategy."
