WHAT ARE YOU EXPECTING FROM SALFORD THIS WEEK?

I think they will be much improved from their performance last week against Wakefield. By their own admission, they were disappointing against the Wildcats and normally that leads to a reaction from a group of players. I think Phil Veivers is doing a great job there and they have produced some great performances this season. They have invested heavily in their new ground and I have no doubt that their management will want them to move up a gear and challenge for silverware. The Cup is a fantastic opportunity for them and I am sure they will see the chance to knock us out as a real boost to their chances and we must be aware of that.

HOW IS YOUR TEAM SHAPING UP?

We will have to wait on Brett Delaney and Darrell Griffin as they both picked up knocks against Catalan last week. Jamie Jones-Buchanan and Weller Hauraki are both not far away from being fit and available for selection. Weller could be available this week but it is a long time since his last game and he will need to get his match sharpness back again. Shaun Lunt has had another week with us and I am sure he will improve this week again having spent more time with the lads. We have had a nine day turn around this week since Catalan game and tried to freshen the team up but only time will tell if that has been beneficial although we are confident we are in good shape for the challenge.

WILL YOUR LAST GAME AGAINST SALFORD HAVE ANY BEARING ON THIS WEEKS CLASH?

We had a good win over there earlier in the season but we were hot that night and Salford were a bit off. The good thing is that we have been there already this season so we are familiar with the new surroundings. I am sure that Salford will be stronger this Sunday and we know that we need to reach that level of performance, at least, to keep our Challenge Cup hopes alive.
