WHAT ARE YOU EXPECTING FROM HULL KR?

I am expecting a lot of energy and enthusiasm from Hull KR on Friday night. They will have been disappointed to lose their derby game at home last week and they will see this match as a chance to bounce back from that. They are a good side who have picked up some big wins already this year and the chance to turn us over will be something they are looking at to kick start their play off push. I think in the last couple of years they have become a much more rounded side that doesn't rely so much on Michael Dobson coming up with a piece of brilliance to win them a game. Dobson is still very much their key man, and if he has a quiet game that impacts on them, but they have other attacking threats and I think Travis Burns has been a good addition to their squad.

HOW IS YOUR SIDE SHAPING UP?

It is frustrating for Ryan Bailey that his thumb injury has not cleared up 100% yet. We have managed to treat the infection but there is a lot of swelling in that area which impacts on his ability to grip. It is improving and hopefully he will be right for Friday. We have had some good news with Jimmy Keinhorst, the injury is not as bad as first feared and he will not need an operation on his dislocated shoulder. He will be out for four to six weeks but could feature in the play offs. Danny McGuire and Jamie Jones-Buchanan are now two to three weeks away from returning and Brett Delaney should be okay for the play offs. Joel Moon is coming along well but will still be out for a couple of weeks with his foot injury. Those losses have allowed us to bring in the young players and they have added a new dimension to the side and it is certainly not just a case that they will make way when everyone is fit, they have more than held their own and will continue to do a job for us.

DO YOU FEEL YOUR SIDE HAS MOMENTUM NOW?

It is probably too early to say that at present however what we have had since the defeat at Warrington is four really tough games that we have had to battle hard to get the win on each occasion. That is good at this time of year and puts you in good shape for the play offs. We can still finish third, and that is what we want to aim for, we want to finish as high as possible, but we have a scenario in place for wherever we finish after the 27 rounds and we will look at that then.
