Featherstone Rovers are pleased to announce that in form player Jonny Hepworth has committed to the club by signing a new two year contract.

Versatile Hepworth joined the club last season after a number of seasons playing Rugby Union for Leeds Tykes, Leinster and Rotherham and has scored 18 tries in 32 appearances for Featherstone Rovers.

Head Coach Daryl Powell, who coached Hepworth at Leeds Rhinos and Leeds Tykes said "I am delighted we have been able to sign Johnny for a further two years. He has adapted to life back in rugby league superbly and is a key component of our team. His versatility gives us so many options and his pace and footwork is outstanding."

Chief Executive Craig Poskitt said "We are thrilled that Jonny has signed a new two year deal at Featherstone. Since returning to Rugby League, Jonny has put in some great performances in Rovers colours. With the exposure of two televised Challenge Cup ties, interest in our players is increasing for Jonny to commit to the club is fantastic. We hope to make other announcements regarding contract extensions in the near future."

Hepworth said "I'm really pleased to have signed a new deal with the club. Featherstone Rovers is a great club and I'm really enjoying being involved with a club that is really going places both on and off the field."
