Dress to impress at Raiders v Roosters

are proud to announce that Ronald McDonald House Canberra will be the game day charity at the upcoming home match against the Roosters this Saturday.

To make the day more enjoyable, both organisations have decided to hold a fancy dress competition at the game. Prizes will be awarded for the best male, best female and best group outfits.

"We're encouraging everyone to get creative with their outfits," said Raiders Game Day Coordinator Jake Roarty. "There will be a heap of Raiders giveaways including merchandise, tickets and other special prizes for the particularly best dressed people at the game.

"Ronald McDonald is a tremendous charity organisation and we as a club are extremely proud to be able to assist in raising funds for their positive endeavours within the ACT community."

The Raiders will be encouraging all attendees of the game to donate generously at the outlets provided to a very worthwhile cause.

Ronald McDonald House Canberra will be opening its doors to their first families in September this year. The Canberra house will provide a home away from home for the families of seriously ill children who are receiving treatment at The Canberra Hospital.

Childhood illness can have a devastating effect on families. As well as all the fear and uncertainty, there are the practicalities of managing the family when a child is away in hospital, often for extended periods of time.

Ronald McDonald House Canberra is similarly pleased to be joining forces with a leader in the Canberra community.

"We're very excited to be involved with the Canberra Raiders as the game day charity for the Sydney Roosters game," said Narelle Casey, the Ronald McDonald House Relationships Development Manager.

"I'd like to encourage everyone to dress up in their fancy dress outfits and give generously for the Canberra House which will be opening up in September this year."

"Ronald McDonald House is designed to help the families of seriously ill children in our region, to be able to team up with the Raiders is a great way to raise funds and brighten up the lives for these unfortunate families."
