forward Brett Delaney could be set to return to action on Monday night against Wakefield just over a week since he dislocated his thumb and it looked like his Wembley dreams were in tatters.

A final decision on whether Delaney will play at the Rapid Solicitors Stadium on Monday will be left until final training however Head Coach Brian McDermott has revealed that the former Gold Coast Titan has made himself available.

He commented, "It is remarkable but Brett insists he is ready and available to play on Monday. It was a bizarre injury. If you imagine when you pull off the finger of a glove when it is on your hand, that is what he did last week. His thumb came out of the skin and we all feared the worst.

"However, they were able to get the bone back inside the skin and the consultant is happy for him to return to playing. Obviously there is an element of pain there but Brett has put his hand up for selection. That is the great spirit we have within our squad, no one wants to let the side down and, especially with Wembley on the horizon, no one wants to lose their place in the team," added McDermott.

Brent Webb could return to action with Danny McGuire ruled out by suspension. Rob Burrow will make his 350th appearance for the Rhinos on Monday whilst Richard Moore could face his former club.

The 19 man squad in full is:

1. Brent Webb
2. Ben Jones-Bishop
3. Kallum Watkins
4. Zak Hardaker
5. Ryan Hall
7. Rob Burrow
8. Kylie Leuluai

17. Ian Kirke
18. Chris Clarkson
19. Weller Hauraki
20. Darrell Griffin
21. Richard Moore
