Cronulla is still bracing for punishments to be handed down this week, even though the NRL says its investigation into the club's 2011 supplement program is yet to be completed.

The ARL Commissioners were briefed on the progress of the Integrity Unit's investigation during a 10-hour meeting today.

But ultimately the fate of the Sharks rests in the hands of NRL chief executive David Smith and chief operating officer Jim Doyle.

Cronulla's been advised by the NRL that no determination has been made, however it's understood the club is expecting an announcement could be made on Friday.

Under-fire coach Shane Flanagan is trying to get on with business, even though speculation is mounting he could be hit with a lengthy ban, similar to the punishment the AFL gave Essendon coach James Hird.
