Justin Hodges has come off the training paddock early today at Red Hill, sending a scare through the Broncos' camp.

However medical staff has assured the coach he is fine, the international centre taking a purely cautionary early exit from the field.

Broncos' assistant coach Allan Langer said Hodges was okay, and joked that perhaps the warm weather in Brisbane had something to do with it.

Hodges only returned from two weeks off with a hamstring strain last weekend, so has every right to be careful.

"He's come up good, he was bit tight today - he doesn't like training in the heat, so he just went and had a cold bath," said Langer.

"There are no injury concerns, he's just pulled up a little bit sore.

"And as I said he doesn't like training in the heat so if Hodgo doesn't like training he goes inside."

The rest of the Broncos' squad trained strongly, and will do so in Brisbane again tomorrow before leaving for a mini-camp on the Gold Coast.

The team will have its final pre-match run at Red Hill on Friday.
