MICK POTTER

YOU HAVE HAD A LONGER LEAD IN TO THIS GAME. WHAT HAS THAT ALLOWED YOU TO DO?

"It's allowed us to work on some things we were very poor at against St Helens. We had a lot of work to do defensively. Saints were good on the night but we were poor. Defensively we have had a big week and we'd like to make amends for that. They took Leeds to the wire, scoring over forty points, so we need to stop that.

It would have been nice to back up the next week and show we are a bit better than what we showed at Saints but we have had to wait a couple of weeks and it's good that it's at Odsal. It's a pretty important game for us."

WAKEFIELD ARE CERTAINLY SCORING A LOT OF POINTS AT THE MOMENT. HAVE YOU LOOKED AT THAT?

"We've done our homework on them and they have some great players. They come up with some good plays. Tim Smith pushes them round the park; Richie Mathers at Full Back is playing well and they have some good Centres that test you round the edges. They also have some big forwards who run and hit you hard. Aiton goes well for them and I think they are a really dangerous team for us.

I think Leeds were fortunate with some of their tries and Wakefield were unlucky not to come up with the win at Headingley.

SQUAD NEWS

Mick Potter will name his squad for the game tomorrow but with only Jarrod Sammut fit to return and Ian Sibbit dropping out with a broken arm, the nineteen will stay more or less the same.

MILESTONES

CHEV WALKER needs 2 Tries for a career total of 100. He has scored 98 Tries for Leeds, Hull KR, Gt Britain, England and Bradford Bulls.
