MICK POTTER

WHAT HAS LAST WEEK'S VICTORY DONE FOR THE SIDE?

"There were some encouraging signs after a fair bit of adversity at the start of the game; not touching the ball for nearly ten minutes and going twelve points down but we worked our way back into it. You have to say we showed a lot of character and all the effort was there. Our execution of plays was better and that's a pleasing sign and something to take into the next game.

IT'S SAINTS NEXT. WHAT ARE YOU EXPECTING FROM THEM, UNPREDICTABILITY I SUPPOSE?

"I am not sure if unpredictable is the word. I think desperate is probably the word. They are desperate to win a game and they will want to show that they are a team that can make another Grand Final and a team that can win more than they lose. They are low in confidence and that makes them more dangerous against us this week. They'll be at their best and we'll have to account for them in that mode. It's my job to worry and I am worried about the repercussions of what they've got in them and we've covered all bases in our preview of this game. It should make for a good game.

WHAT'S NOT GOING QUITE RIGHT FOR THEM AT THE MOMENT?

"Well they are playing with a lot of movement of the ball but they are probably just not creating quite as much space as they usually do. They are certainly missing James Roby a lot. They play off the back of what he does a lot of the time; they get a quick Play the Ball and James is off and breaking the line and they are probably not offloading as much as they perhaps have done but saying that they'll probably pop the cork and offload a lot this week!!"

"Defensively they have been pretty good and structurally they are hard to break down so we will have to be at our best this week to break them down as there's no weak links in their system."

"I am surprised they haven't won one or two more but they have been within a whisker of winning some games. Those games could have gone the other way and we wouldn't be talking like this. They would have been four points further up the ladder; that's how close it is. It's good for the competition to have different teams at the top but the expectation at Saints is that they have to be at the top all the time and if they are not then they are struggling and doing poorly which is probably not the case."

"We are desperate to get out first home win. We want to win every game we play but the players want to give the fans something to cheer about at Odsal. We are heading in the right direction and we are going to do our best at the weekend."

YOU HAVE OLIVIER ELIMA RETURNING THIS WEEK. WHAT DOES HE BRING TO THE SIDE?

"Oh a little bit of French flavour!! Seriously he is a big player who knows how to break the line, he is a player with skill and his talk defensively is very good. He gives us some line speed and some aggression, not that we have lacked that but he is another body who will add a lot to our team."

SQUAD NEWS

Both Olivier Elima and Adrian Purtell are named in the Bulls 19 man squad, along with Paul Sykes. They replace Shaun Ainscough, who will play in the Under 20's tonight, Jarrod Sammut, who is suspended and Nick Scruton who will have an MRI Scan this evening to determine the extent of the shoulder injury he picked up at Hull KR.

The Squad is: Addy, Bateman, Burgess, Crookes, Diskin, Elima, Hargreaves, Jeffries, Kearney, Langley, L'Estrange, Lulia, Manuokafoa, Platt, Pryce, Purtell, Sykes, Walker, Whitehead
