Canterbury have named an extended squad for Saturday's inaugural Special Olympics Cup clash with South Sydney at ANZ Stadium.

2012 will be the first time the Special Olympics Cup has been held. The Bulldogs Club will host the fixture this season while in 2013 it will be played when the Rabbitohs are the home team at ANZ Stadium.

With an Australian child diagnosed with an intellectual disability every two hours, the Special Olympics Cup aims to raise much needed funds and awareness to support children and adults with an intellectual disability to access, play and enjoy the benefits that sport provides.

As long-time supporters of Special Olympics Australia, both the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs and the South Sydney Rabbitohs are honoured to dedicate a game to Special Olympics to do more towards ensuring that every child and adult regardless of their disability has access to local sport in grass roots, Special Olympics Clubs across the nation.

Bulldogs coach Des Hasler has named an extended seven man bench for the match, which will be played just five days after Monday night's 30-12 win over the Sydney Roosters at Allianz Stadium.

Included in the side are NSW Cup trio Joel Romelo, Marty Taupau and Dale Finucane, while Krisnan Inu's starring role in his Club debut against the Roosters has seen him retained on the wing outside Josh Morris.

The remainder of the starting side, along with the inclusion of James Graham, David Stagg, Corey Payne and Trent Hodkinson on the bench, remains the same as that which beat the Roosters.
