by NRLBradford Bulls are proud to announce that as part of the Queen's Jubilee Celebrations the Castleford Tigers fixture will support military charity "Help for Heroes" and are delighted to announce injured soldier & noted fundraiser, Ben Parkinson will be attending as the Guest of Honour as the game celebrates the "Best of British"
Attending the game as Guest of Honour is Ben Parkinson. Ben who originally hails from Doncaster joined the army in 2000, aged just 16, and spent 6 years serving with the 7 Para Royal Horse Artillery. In 2006, aged just 22, Ben lost both his legs and suffered brain damage and a broken back when his Land Rover was ripped apart by an anti-tank mine. He is thought to be the most seriously injured British serviceman to survive his wounds.
Since being injured, Ben has worked tirelessly fundraising for a number of military charities and Bradford Bulls are delighted and honoured that he will be attending the game.
At the Castleford fixture, fundraising will include a half time bucket collection; Help for Heroes merchandise will be on sale and an inflatable assault course will be on site to raise funds.
The gates open at 5:30pm with the "Best of British" activities & fundraising taking place on the middle concourse, in and around the Marquee Bar.
Tickets are still available for the game from the Bulls Ticket Office at Odsal Stadium, by calling 08448 711 490 or online at www.bradfordbulls.co.uk
