The Vote - Bellamy ???

Plenty i am like Alby when it comes to travelling.

There is no case you can present that will compare a beach inside Melbourne that compares to Sydney Beaches or Wollongong Beaches.

Will except that Melbourne is not all Mud Front Homes unless on the Yarra for one!!!

we're still waiting on official confirmation that Bellamy is staying in Melb, yeah?

I'm in Melbourne for the next few days. Will let you know.

At this stage it looks like Bellamy is waiting for Melbourne to match his offer or go through the finer details of his contract. That said, you never know, while he is not signed with anyone we're still in the hunt. Gotta wait and see I guess.

Storm calling a press conference with Bellamy tomorrow. Looks like he is staying on (like he was never leaving).

Oh well, it kept interest up for a lot of the offseason, Roun d 1 will be very interesting.

If this was always going to be the case; why the long negotiation period???

to increase asking price from Melb (to at least match the Dragons offer)

The Storm have set up a hashtag on twitter #bellamydecides. doesn't sound like a club that anticipates losing their coach.

They also revealed that Cronk, Smith and Slater all have get out clauses if Bellamy leaves. Why reveal that now, if Bellamy was leaving it would have come out later.

As if he was ever coming to us. Sounds like the whole situation was a way for his mangers to bumb up his contract.

Rumour is that St Merge have signed Tim Sheens for 2014 and onwards

Hope that is a Gee Up as no way do I want Sheens. That would be worse than what we have  or is :( more appropriate.
SonicStar

You wouldn't want sheens, even if he bought Marshall with him

Exactly with those two they have made finals twice in last decade right? Even with some of our bad teams we have made more finals than that i.e the brownie years where we had lots of injuries.

St George Illawarra Dragons CEO Peter Doust on Monday issued the following statement regarding the position of Club head Coach for 2014.

"The Board and Management of the Dragons are continuing to undertake due diligence on the Head Coach for 2014 and are investigating a number of options," said Doust.

“While it is not usual for the Dragons to comment publicly on negotiations at the Club, Craig Bellamy was an option that we explored but it became clear that he did not wish to leave the Melbourne Storm.

“Even though we are yet to start the 2013 season, we are aware that for all parties, a firm decision for 2014 would be best made sooner rather than later, but we are not putting timeframes around such a key decision.

“We will continue to work through the options and circumstances thoroughly and will communicate when appropriate, out of respect for all associated and involved.”

Glad Doust only "explored " to find bellamy at the Storm and even happier he stayed there;)

Glad to see this BS finally at an end (He was never going to leave his beloved Storm). We should all get behind Pricey as coach for 2013 and the next few seasons. If he doesn't produce then we search but imo he could be a top coach if given the opportunity.

ok lads, let's get on with it :)

Craig Bellamy has opted for immediate short-term team success in Melbourne over guaranteed long-term personal security and stability with St George Illawarra.
The financial terms at both clubs were similar but Bellamy admitted ''the emotional rope [with the Melbourne players] is too hard to cut'', and on Monday he extended his Storm contract to the end of the 2016 season.
