Rosehill Race 6 - SCHWEPPES FRANK UNDERWOOD CUP
Watch out for Zavite here. That first up run was very good and will improve with the fitness
pretty keen to have a look at WALK IN THE PARK here... her run in the QLD OAKS was extremely brave... not 100% sure if this is the race for her but would probably jump on if it was a SLOW/HEAVY... intriguing mare she is and well worth keeping an eye on. Her effort last start in NZ over the mile was a lot better than it looks on paper. DELAGO STAR seems to be well over the odds in comparison to RAINBOW STYLING... whilst RAINBOW is on the up and has a lot more scope, this race should suit DELAGO a lot better... hasnt been beaten far and meets RAINBOW a lot better at the weights... 51-1 is probably worthy of a hit and hope ticket. Concerns over RABBUKA remain this prep... didnt fire last start under pressure which was very uncharacteristic... might be a bit risky as his form does tend to taper off pretty quickly in his preps... No doubt though if they ever get him right he would beat these every time... ZAVITE was very forward first up and aimed at the AUSSIE CUP again... better suited at the 2400m third up than here but wouldnt surprise anyone would it... 16s is worth a look. RAINBOW has it all to do here... meets everybody worse at the weights obviously but his record 5th run back from a spell is pretty damn poor... have to be worried a bit. THEOPHOROUS... geez what do ya do with this bloke... wouldve been something really special if he wasnt so injury prone.. shouldve almost won the VILLIERS. Was picked up for 9k in an INGLIS sale after breaking down twice when trained by BARTLEY. Has since delivered his owner over 200k in prizemoney. Cant advocate backing him as there are too many unanswered questions but geez it would be a great story if he powered home over the top of them.. HUGHY on gives it 3 lengths and settled very nicely without blinkers last start.

Theopourus Chilli I will go with you ,,with a win ratio of 36% and a placing of 63%.....I think horse after its last run is looking for this distance ....comes down in weight ..top hoop on board ..will handle any track conditions and the price is just right for a solid eachway.
couldn't agree more about Theopourus
Yes chilli, i was having a look at the kiwi horse. That run last start was very good. She did a power of work to lead and then handed up and got the box seat and faded the last furlong but was far from disgraced. She'll get a lovely sit here behind the speed and Tye is riding very well at the moment
When I looked for the class runners here found it impossible to go past Rainbow.........sometimes you have to accept the bleedin obvious..............
chill i can see where your coming from on theopourus it does have a good record as philone has said win ration of 36% and placing of 63% but could a 1500 m horse take out the 2000m race? Will the track remain dead at the time of this race? Im not really liking any of the horses in this race sigh......
I really like the Rainbow here, this horse looks promising. Ticks all the boxes here for me ;)
haha jisoe... could be a tricky race... i like a bit of romance every now and then and theo is a good story... plus HUGHY can do just about anything at the moment!!
Theo run a good race stuck out in no mans land but did well considering.. Nash got away with Rabbuka ..Spinney run a nice race due to pick one up soon..Eh chilli at least we gave them a scare..LOL.
gave the bookies a scare anyway... what a time for hughy to pull out a shocker... widest runner all the way around and certainly didnt help it stepping up to the trip first time... thought he was very brave in defeat... if he stays sound there is a very decent race in him.
Rainbow Styling is very over rated. He needs everything to go his way to win and yesterday he was found out. He cannot run a genuine staying distance in a good race.
RAINBOW STYLING had no chance of winning the way the race was run nudge. RABBUKA got a very easy lead for 3/4 of the race and ran home in 33.64 ! (10.70) for it's last 200m very slick for a stayer, no wonder nothing made up ground. RS is abit one dimensional who does need the pace on or like last be just off the pace. Bad ride by the Pumper and should of shown more initiative, i didn't have a bet prerace but backed RABBUKA in running at $3 halfway through the race knowing if he does get an easy lead he can reel off quick sectionals.
Seriously, why do they let the Gai's horses get away with murder up front? Sheeesh!
I know it was partly tempo related by there was a clear advantage to front running horses yesterday - no horse outside the first six won yesterday that I can recall at Rosehill. Surprised they offered $3 in running, it was clear a long way out Rainbow Styling had no chance and Rabbuka was coasting. Nash is a better jockey than Shinn frankly and it showed
