GOLF BRITISH OPEN - PUBLIC BROADCASTING
Such a dissipointment not to see events like the British Open Golf not aired on a free to air broadcast station. The values that uphold our sporting nation has been replaced by media contributions and pay for play - reverse bargainning that delivers no legacy to the Australian Viewing Public - Once upon a time the association that withdrew whats on with an international legacy provided a drawing role into our Australia. The channel swap that intrudes our lives and delivers whats on tactics pushed across a special edge wether we liked it or not it was there as a cross reference to our sporting nation.
Now we see Infomercial or a replay of an Infomercial running into the next stage of what do you know a late night Infomercial. Once upon a time a non-sporting enthusiats could tell the season by what was on the late night wahon besides the SBS weather rap or the blind terminal feedback that was on the bad reception from channel nine. It is not only a legacy that introduces infrastructure into our minds bodies and homes it is a way of life that contributes to an age a time and a gesture that invites The Rules Of The Game Etiquette and association of brilliance into our life as Australians.
I don't care that the broadcast is on that other channel - i want i want i want the real need to air pinnicle sporting events into our homes for no other reason but the fact that we are Australian and it's better than that dam Infomercial on the other station!!!
Stop whining you tight twit, and pay $50 a month for Foxtel . Hopefully if you do, it will keep you busy enough to keep your imbecilic comments off of here
looks like someone had a big night watching the Open. I agreed with the first sentence of the first post and the second is plain gibberish
I do not subscribe to FOXTEL to recieve the major championships 4 times a year I subscribe to FOXTEL to watch every other NRL game, the odd UNION game and every now and again i'll put the AFL on just for kicks.... I subscribe to FOXTEL to watch golf that is on in India and the baseball, the cricket in Pakistan or the movie that has just repeated on channel 402 - I don't suscripe to Foxtel to have priviliges taken away for the International Championship Events that grace the worlds presence 4 times a year fullstop.
On another note, i'd actually like to see the run of a game rather than how close the camera guy can get to the players to help the referee draw out any infrigments.... there is more to the game than whats around the ball - and if anyone new to the game wanted to understand it they would have a hopes hell in town shoes of getting half way there. AFL forget it, what happens off the ball is the game and all we see now is friendly faces.... NRL is a hug fest and yesterdays news is tommorrows headline.
