Well, they reckon this nag is one right out of the box. From what i gather we should be betting on how far it will win by today.
Im going to say 4.75 lengths between an easing down LIGHTHORSE and SHREWD CHOICE with a further 3.25 lengths to third.
DANCE UP A STORM looked good just needs a bit of experience.
if your happy that I buy Maccas and Macca is happy then Im happy :)
Suprisingily I made quite a bit of that race.
Had $100 the place on 1 and 2,
Had Exacta in orde 40times
Had Tri 3-1-2,7 30times
and finally a R/D 1/F 7.5times
cost me a tad over $500 and I got back
around $900ish so thats me done for tha day.
Anybody no the time of the race? I reckon if Battlefield had lead, the time would of been around 1-1.5sec quicker, the margin woudl of still been the same though I think.
Macca add me as a mate and let me no when your Saturday tips are finalised and I will buy.
Or same for Chilli if if macca doesnt agree to those terms :)
iam a happy man even though i was very lucky but all in good fun .
no worries let me no when your tips are finalised Saturday and I will buy
im stoked lads... waited till the death with SPORTSBET and nabbed the 1.50... giddyup!!
The time was a slick 58.30 with the last 600m in 34.67
what was the official margin NUDGE?... geez thats not a bad run for a nag first up after 6 months, only second race ever, 56kgs, outside barrier, 4 wide, hanging out in the straight and at HAWKESBURY... 58.30. Nice very nice...
58.3 for 1000m at Hawkesbury is fairly ordinary folks--have seen very ordinary ones run sub 57
Should also ad that being wide at Hawkesbury over the 1000m is not a great disadvantage--in fact years ago the locals used to prefer drawn a little wide. They run downhill along the chute to one turn with a nice camber that helps those drawn wider.
iam with chilli on this horse , theres always been huge wraps on this nag , and will only get better after that run , lets wait and see what times its running in a few starts time
Glenmore... i think the time will stand up in the context of the horses ability... we all know not to pay too much attention to times mate.. especially in the bush. It was more the way he won it... the time and a DEAD 4 rating validates the run but thats about it... just to elaborate... there is a tamworth nag running times in training that will make your hair curl but is still wallowing around in bush C2 events without consistently winning even those... strange isnt it??
About 25-30 years ago, Jack Paton had a filly at Hawkesbury called Namsina which won her maiden over 1000m in 55.7 (the Australian record at the time was 55.5)--she never won again. Lighthorseman might be very smart, but let's just wait and see how he goes when stepped up against high quality horses before we all have an orgasm
The time isn't all that flash at face value - but in comparison to other times on the day it was quite good (just my opinion of course). The track was playing 'slowish' on the day (not meaning 'slow' in the wet sense.).
macca1 I have bought your tips mate they look good.
A few of them I had already tipped myself
Good minds must think alike.
I must say I hope we are both right in Melbourne 6 as I stood it out last night in everything
Hey Andy do i get a commission on the profits?? say 10% haha
yeah i like 6 in melb also no 1 lets hope we all have great days.
Depends Chilli, what % of losses would you pay back if the worst was to happen?
hahaha ANDY.. im going for the world record for tipping the most horses to come in 4th this month... i reckon im up to about 65% strike rate this month to date... is starting to annoy me somewhat!! Cant carry your losses as well as mine champion!!
How did yas go today??
just had a look MACCA steered you into some nice winners mate... well done lads... looks like we were all on SOOZE today as well... good to see... great minds and all that huh!!
yeah was an ok day on here , but had a great day on the punt backed sooze to win and had an all up $50.00 place which paid $809.60 for 4 races they were my only 2 bets so very happy .i think i broke even on here sorry andy i thought throne inn would run a lot better and give us a good day . theres always tomorrow
I see Lighthorseman is trialing on Tuesday at Warwick Farm.
Lighthorseman trialed yesterday and won the most intresting thing they wanted the horse to settle, they dropped out last once straightening he went to the outside and won the trial like a good horse should bigger things to come for this bloke.
damn straight mate... was a big win last start (regardless of popular opinion) he did it toough all the way around and the more he learns the more explosive he will be... he is a Group horse of the highest calibre mate!
No Lighthorseman today for Batlefield, both hoses will definately go places,
yeh just watching trials now, nice trial Lighthorseman(looks like a big future), liked the run of Judged in the same trial, be keeping an eye out for it.
Running in the city on Saturday, should be interesting to see how it goes
