How many tips?
In relation to the number of tips a player puts in, how many is the right number?
Post your thoughts here............ I'll go first.
I think it varies from tipper to tipper.
For example, if a player puts in 30 tips everyday and 50 tips on saturday, well, they play hard I'd say. But a player that puts in 12 tips per day, spread around the major meetings, and 20 tips on saturday, I might say they have their usual "solid" 12 bets, and a few blackbookers, form horses, or good roughies for the major meetings - that would make a nice card overall to me. It shouldn't be a disadvantage for them to have tipped so large.
I'm sure there are many different views from many different buyers and sellers...!!
it all comes down to covering your tips 'doc'...but like you & i mentioned earlier more real money can be made outside using exotics
I don't think tipping 20 to 30 is that bad on a big day, eg: Saturday, I just think it's hard to tip alot of winners on say, a Tuesday with 20-30 tips.
I agree , 80+ races on a saturday compared to 30+ on monday-tuesday. Natural to find more tips.
if you tip every race on every day you will find it is far easier to cover 24 races on a tuesday than 80 races on a saturday. With a $8,000 outlay yoy must return that before you can work on profit. In the long run it makes no difference lf you lodge 100 tips in a month it makes no difference wheather thats slit over 30 days or two days. Like Diva says you have to have winners that pay more than the selections you lob be that 1 selection or 100.
