I think von costa de hero has been building to something special this prep..........Ilike him from barrier 14 taking a sit behind them all....taking off early and putting pay to them.
Minnesota Shark to bring Lonhro back into the spotlight.
Hayes has Von Costa De hero back home and is keeping a little quite about him ,he satated All American is spot on and has been set for this race ,both horses will be there at the finish given luck in running.Carnero has been given some chance and well worth putting in the trifectas,My old favourite Related is going around though I think the class of horses in this may be above him.I do like Lord Tavistock so this race may just be a trifecta race for me ,give the win a miss and hope I can nail it.
i reckon TIME THIEF and WHOBEGOT will have a massive duel all the way down the straight.... could set it up for a swooper but they both look like tough genuine blokes to me...
I dont see much between Time Thief & Whobegotyou apart from the odds. I want to be on a horse that settles in the first 6 and im confident Time Thief will go forward. On that i must give Fernandina a real chance as he gave Time Thief weight and his saddle slipped. And he's even better odds!! If Von Costa drew a barrier id give him a big chance, same with Carnero but i just see him getting too far back here. As Dreamscape races on the speed and has the in form Nash Rawiller on board he goes in my calculations as does Gogocanny who finished beside Lord Tavistock yet is $20 better in the market.. All American gets the run of the race..
Fernandina from barrier 1, should get a good run through the race.
I was on track when Lohnro won the guineas, I just remember him flying down the outside to win. Not sure Minnesota Shark, is near the level of some of it competitors.
After the race we will think that the winner paid great value for the way it won.
Big chance to go on and win the Derby.
If i was looking for Value, I think Duporth is currently looking good. Duporths form reads well to me, not beaten to far last start in Sydney over 1600. I see it coming through the middle of the field.
I like Fernandinas toughness, Whobegotyou may have the brillance, and Duporth may be a good performer much like Mentality.
Sure to be a great race, the weather should be perfect on Saturday.
I think von costa is looking for 2000m but I still believe the hayes runners are the big players.
I think the forgotten horse is TINDAL. he won well on saturday and will have no problems getting the mile. terrific value for me and the Sadler/Williams team is the best it has been at the moment.
I wouldn't count out God's Own after the way he won it in '05......................
Had Whobegotyou drawn well this would be over now. Yeah Vicelife God's own would touch them all up mate
One at big odds with a chance.....gogocanny.....well drawn with nolen on board and he knows how to win this race winning on wonderful world...i think. This horse hasnt had much luck and if the pace is on he can sneak into a place
HEART OF DREAMS wouldve thumped TINDAL had Ollie ridden him better. FERNANDINA carried 3kg's more than TINDAL when they last met and has drawn the coveted rails. I think WHOBEGOTYOU is actually better off with his barrier out wide dr.whiz as the horse has no early speed, likes to race back and the genuine leaders will be coming from wide gates bar FERNANDINA.
sometimes it is that simple.... standout!!
cant see anything beating him in the Derby if Kav goes that way..
Nice quinella chilli.
