THe next best is finding the 2nd horse for the quinella! And I believe I have done that!
Cargo Cult should be knocked out! Saturday will provide yet another chance for this talented galloper to be the bridesmaid again. There is no doubting his ability but unfortunately the handicapper has him in his sights and set weights according to his percieved potential instead of his actual achievements. Ben Melham has the one i`d like to be riding. She will acqit herself admirably i`m sure and looks a great each way bet.
If that's the case may I suggest the following trifecta -Your first two for 1st&2nd/Field 3rd =$14 per $1 or TJ/your 2nd horse/ field 3rd = $7 per $1.
I think Ollie has best mount outside of TJ. Brialliant first up last start or was it a tease one off?
Also no one would have missed commanding Hope last week. Who knows, it gets tougher as u get more and more into it. But thats was friday's are for :)
That just means we`ll get better odds.
Always look on the bright side of life ..........whistle etc.
Cargo Cult will blow them away!
Im looking at having a trifecta 1/2,6,7/2,6,7
I think jack is gonna find one too strong
TJ touted as being no good in the wet (if that's what track turns up to be on saturday).
No-ones told him that, and he's only maybe had one start on anything less than good. Check your local formguide for full details.
Nothing to say he's no good in the wet, but ill tell you what, ive watched him closely in the flesh and his best runs are on bone dry tracks. He's G1 if he could draw a barrier and get a concrete surface when he's on his fresh side! They'd be getting plenty of rain in Bairnsdale where he's trained so the stable would know if he's as effective on it.
Trainer won`t TJ on tracks worse than dead. I think he`ll be having a holiday tomorrow ! Cargo Cult has the runs on the board for wet tracks and class it should be his race only thing is he likes finding one better on the day.
Mate i saw Cargo's last start- problem is I saw them his entire last prep!! I know me & GD both have been down that road before
TJ to win. Red Arrow the danger. Exacta???
Wordsmith if any where near his peak will give TJ a run for his money.
My big tip is that Tesbury Jack will be scratched as his trainer is reluctant to run him on tracks worse than Dead and last time i looked out the window it was raining!
Heavy track would be the only way Wordsmith would get close to TJ. TJ different class specially at WFA on better than dead
I think the three girls will do well in the wet conditions.
My numbers are 2-1-7-8
sure the cult was costly last prep,,but he was up against some pretty handy types.ud think he'd handle this lot going on class?. ''STICK WITH HIM GD''
Good to see I am not the only one who does not get any sleep!
GOTTA LOVE FRIDAYS MARSHY,, HOWS LIFE ON THE GREEN PASTURE MATE ?
too xited 2 sleep aye mate?
Lifes good down here, yes yet maybe it is the pressure that keeps me awake, hows things your way?
Was very close to visiting your way this weekend GW to watch my beloved Blues , yet the kids have a cub/scout party in the city tonight so that cancelled that out!
Sorry GW i think your confidence in Cargo Cult is misplaced. Second up last prep he finished seventh over 1200m carrying 57.5. This was only an open handicap behind Sharkbite who i think you`ll agree is no champion. He has raced at 1200m 8 times for 1 win (mv 3yo Open) beating Royal Babe a half hd. He has three minor placings 2nd`s to Shadoways & Gibraltar Campion & a fith to Cocinero none of which are great WFA performers. Add to that only one win from eleven tries at Caulfield beating Larson at 1400m. I think if i owned a horse in the race i would like it to be Lucky Diva or Tesbury Jack.
Dont think much rain will fall @ Caulfield looking outside my window. Track holds up best of what Dean John would call "Victorias Mud Paddocks!"
