This is a message to all the TIPSTERS here at Punters Paradise. I am writing a PLAN to WIN at Syn City- there is a meeting there THIS FRIDAY.
The Plan will be published this Friday in my weekly column.

Well wattya know... i took the plunge and just won a lot of cash at syn city... now i am confused about it all
FIRST SHOCK AND AWE SELECTION WINS paying $4.10!
Congratulations to the nine Punters Paradise Tipsters who selected SURFWATCH in Race 6. Backed up by the MONEY TRAIL! Was $9.0 into $4.40 and paid $4.10 on the tote!
Bookmakers bet $5.00 into $3.50
Its the GOOD TRACK chilli. And predictable racing pattern. Good Luck!
Big money for 2 in the 7th.
Looked HOME Cracka! Absolute Genius 2nd beaten half head!
Firmed in from $15.70 on the tote to jump at $5.50
I hate getting beaten in photos!
i was on it too... great minds and all that... GENIUS running a hole still keeps my each way allup alive after surfwatch threw some value... race 8 is last leg and its showing 31-1... after getting knocked off tuesday on my special by a nag at 151-1 i reckon i deserve this!!!!! im warming up to syn city
Not a great deal of money action in Race 8. Horse 6 Alfalfa firmed from $7.10 into $5.90 but then support dried up and he eased back out to $6.70 That represents only a 0.8% firm which is pretty weak ($7.10 is 14.1% and $6.70 is 14.9%)
Compare this to SURFWATCH earlier. $9.00 is 11.11% into $4.10 which is 24.4% which gives 13.3% of money action.
Congratulations to the 23 Punters Paradise Tipsters who tipped the winner Cocenta, who was an easing favourite $2.7 to $3.3 on the tote. But he still started favorite as none of the other top four tips were seriously fancied.
The Shock and Awe was RUBAMBI there, looked a big show midstretch but wanted to duck in and not win the race, running 4th in the photo . . . could be a bit of a cat!
Congratulations to the 7 PP Tipsters who went for the winner AZURE BOY at big odds!
Got the Money!!!! on Race 9 At the last moment relinquished, and decided to have a go.
As you will find out later, my selection for the race was Owzat, but when I saw no money for it...
I decided to take the advice of a good judge, and reread the Race by Race comments (see above),and boxed the Quin, Exacta for 5 times each. Left the fav out and took 2,3 and 9.
Boxed the Tri 2,3,4and 9, but no luck there.
Syn City is the place for value.LOL
Great to see that 7 Tipsters tipped Azure Boy. Well Done!
If i can add something for this last race. The tip IKANDE has got the most support from the top twenty with two tips and has been selected by 10 tippers in total. It's currentlypaying around $10. This is the sort of bet i would look for. The toppy has been selected by 12 tippers and also represents good value at around the $6.50 - both are a good bet. Fingers crossed!
The toppy MY HARMONICA looks to be the firmer with the most support from ALL TIPPERS. So if you were to stick with DJ's SHOCK & AWE theory this would be the selection.
Close Second, $2.00 the place.
SHOCK & AWE turns to PAIN & DISBELIEF as the Geelong Troroughtrack gets its revenge!!!!!
Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the water. It'll do it to you every time!!
Even though I won there today, I'm still sworn off it. I will continue to do the form there and keep track of things with my system, but I will have to accrue a lot more data, before I stick my toe in again!
Welcome to SYN CITY Kagan! Kagan was operating using the Sydney TAB odds and number 1 My Harmony was $6.60 into $5.20
I was on the third horse Pe De Usha, selected by 5 Tipsters and coming in from $15.2 to $9.9 on the VIC TAB.
Female races are always tough, they take it in turns!
Just remember, whatever method you are using, don't swap and change. If your using the NSW TAB stick to it. If you are betting the VIC TAB, stick to it.
If you bet the value in the TOP 4 then stick to that.
Don't go jumping from one method to another race by race.
As I suggested in last week's article, stick with whatever method you use. If you have a favorite tipster, stick with him.
The information here at PP is so good that, if you stick to your strategy, whatever you have decided on, you will get your winners in turn.
I think on the whole the form worked out quite well there today at SYN CITY, even taking into account that feral filly that knocked us off in the last.
You see they never roll the streets up
'cause there's always somethin' goin'
(Syn City, here we come)
You know they're either out surfin'
or they got a party goin'
(Syn City, here we come)
After an exciting start Getting two winners up out of the first 4 races my day collapsed with 3 scratching and 3 more loses. So only 2 winners and 3 place getters from 7 selections. So from $7 investment only $6.30 return, Fress has had his first loss at Syn City but only just. I'LL BE BACK!!!!!!!!!!
DJ..the odds on the last were a kittle distorted by the late scratching. The pool reduced and caused some horses to shorten.
Geelong Thoroughtrack Systems
While I applaud the efforts of DeanJohn and others to find a winner at Geelong, I still have a strong feeling that this track requires some special selection techniques.
To be fair, taking the top four selections for each race from the Insider selections, and watching the firmers, will probably produce its fair share of winners on any track and surface. It may not necessarily point to the value. It is also time consuming, and may not suit people who have to work, and have no opportunity to watch the markets. Also, since we need to get tips in on KT prior to the start of the days racing, I am trying to explore a system that can work there.
The basic attributes which I am using for Geelong TT are:
1. The horse should be an on pace runner. This is more important over distances up to 1300, but also it’s some advantage to be handy, even in the longer events. To find these animals you need to have a formguide which lists video comments, and find out where the horse was in running, particularly on the home turn. I personally rate a horse highly if they were in the first 5 on the turn.
2. The horse should have finished within 3 lengths of the winner last start. Finishing position is not so critical as the beaten margin. My advice is to stick rigidly to 3 lengths.
3. Race Distance. The distance of today’s race should be within 100m of the last start for distances to 1750m and within 200 for longer races.
4. Weight. I record the difference in weight between this and the last start.
5. Class. As long as they are not going up more than than one class, I’m comfortable, particularly for last start winners.
OK, that’s about it for the criteria. I record each qualifier for every race and note its last start finish position and the difference in weight. If there is one qualifier in a race..then it’s obviously the selection. If there are two or more, the one with the most favourable weight difference is the selection. If there is still a tie, then the selection is the horse with the best last start finish position..
Factors which I have yet to evaluate are:
1. What advantage should horses who have won on this surface be given (if any)?
2. What kind of form can be transferred to this track. Eg If a horse has performed on a certain track, does that mean they will handle Geelong TT? Can a horse perform on rain affected ground only, still do well her?
I will continue to evolve the system if it shows promise.
