Anybody betting on this today?
interesting isnt it! miss andretti 57.20 and Apache Cat a touch less .. will any horse run under those two very good gallopers today?, i think the heat may prevent it today but I will be watching with anticipation.
na mate... if it was a bigger field i probably would... but you can see how it would happen hey... SNAPPY to go like a scolded cat and then the CAT to take over and go like the blazes and then the HUSSLER late... money for jam hey mate!!
Or on the other foot they could really go slow and make it a sprint home...
na i see swick flying down the middle , and thousands of punters screaming why why didnt i back it this time and then swick with a big smile on its face gives us all the one fingered hoof
like ive said in my lightning stakes post, i think they'l be flying from the start, thers a few quick horses in the field that wont want to be behind the hussler and apache when the sprint is on, most of em would be kidding themselves if they think they could out sprint those two in the last 200. also just checking out times of seventh rocks runs in SA, why are they a fair bit quicker than Aus times i see he's ran 56.31 and 56.22 and the winner of his last race ran 54.44 on a slow track?!
all true hussler but swick will carry my money , i just cant help myself
Hussler he carried big weights and raced on turf ..over a 1000m he is a topliner sprinter ..if he runs up to his SA form he will give them something to chase..and can easily break the 57s mark..do not underestimate the ability of this horse.... p.s the hotter the better ..the drier even better.
56.96 ... according to TVN some lucky winner had 10K on it - that is a very big drink indeed
what happened???? theories anyone?
swick new i backed it .lol
Theorie the heat, too short for hussler, 1st up not much form first up,apache cat needs a long spell imo.
favourites never win these things, remember that
dont know if the hussler wouldve won but it was a poor ride by Rawiller to tuck the horse inside to get cover. there has never been more than 2L between Scenic Blast & Hussler as 3yo's so one got a great ride and the other didnt..
There was less than 2 lengths betwen them today if any notice is taken of official margins. Both WH and AC can only do about half a length better than Scenic Blast went today (and that's them doing their absolute best), so I think we can just say the best horse won on the day.
Scenic Blast picked me up a healthy 100% quaddie for $48, but if the hussler got home I had the big 6 100% for $24. Spewing I didn't just take the same 4 I took in the quaddie (Hussler, Scenic Blast, Grand Duels & Wilander). Paid $185k or something ridiculous...
i wonder if they have ruined the hussler like they did miss finland by trying to make em stay
scenic blast ran second to a horse called dantes volante 1st up over 1100 who ran 1.03.12. dantes volante is nominated for the goodwood whilst the best sprinter in perth, danny beau, which has run quicker time than dantes volante, will go to the newmarket if all goes to plan. currently $51 so might be worth a spec bet. i already have. perth sprinters have been running quicker times than anywhere in aus over the last couple of months (two state records have been broken) so they might just surprise a few over the autumn.
Big weights, first up over 1000m, in 37 degree heat following days of 46 & 45 is it any wonder these horses were vaunerable not to mention the interference Hussler suffered. Don`t write him off yet St Nuc the 1000M was too short also.
Lilydale_Steve , I agree 100%
Heap of very fast horses going around in WA at the moment--Danny Beau would give DV and Scenic Blast windburn. One going around at Pinjarra got beat a nose over 1100m in 1.02.98 last prep
scenic blast had a jump out down the straight during the week and won easily, stupid jump outs rip punters off make em trial,
nothin wrong with jump outs mate we just need to make them official so the results and times are published
