India vs Australia 2nd test

Hearing that it's another spinner's paradise. Would be nice if they gave the pace bowlers some what of a chance :P
One would think Clarke will go with two spinners.

Brad Haddin is better batsmen than the majority of the top 8 in the current side and not a bad player of spin.

Remember there was a partnership of 376 against us - an attack of McGrath, Warne, Gillespie and Kasprowicz. It's not easy in India.

Maxwell isn't a spinner , that's my point.

Also by challenging most teams I guess you aren't including SA, India and England in that ? We are a real chance to lose 5-0 in England, the only reason we won't is a) Weather b) M.J.Clarke

India AOF 503 - lost their last 9 wickets for 116.

Maxwell took 4/. Probably will be paraded in the media now despite not really performing that well other than in his last spell.

Hopefully we score 400... that leaves 130 to defend. It's a shot at winning at least... long way to go though.

Well we destroyed India last year. The last series against SA in Australia should have ended 1-1, how we didnt win in Adelaide. The last series we played in South Africa ended 1-1 all. Once again in England batting will be the problem, i think the fast bowlers we will take over there will do the trick and hopefully Harris is fit. Harris, Bird, Pattinson, Starc, Siddle, Johnson, Haszlewood and Cummins just to name a few, there is plenty of talent there.

Can change that to 39 balls, 0 runs and 4 wickets. Bugger.. no wonder he prefers to open.

Worse than his old horror statistic involving Chris Martin and Martin Guptill..

Keep losing wickets to horizontal bats shots !! Were they not standing in the field when Pujara had faced over 120 balls and not played a horizontal bat shot yet.

Just wonder how the selectors will handle him now... the axing when in the UK destroyed his confidence, then the reselection when not inform and NZ duly took advantage etc etc Will they keep the faith and back him, or drop him yet again... I feel he is fragile due to previous axings. Hope he bounces back in the 3rd..

Yeah very frustrating to watch.. first session today will be very interesting to see how Cowan and Watson bat. I'm sure Clarke doesn't want to arrive at the pitch until after lunch sometime.
Powersbronco

Clarke gone to a great ball. Watson failed again. Hughes and Watson combined have scored a combined total of 102 runs at an average of 12.75. The top 4 have scored as it stands with Cowan still in 325 runs at an average of 20.3.

Cowan gone 5/111, game wont go into the 5th day.
Goodsy

Goodsy

Geez, will we even survive until lunch ?

5/111

Wonder if now the lower order will look to hit out.. go down swinging.

Where is Australia in world rankings in cricket these days?
Goodsy

6/112 with a run out..

We are a pathetic joke..

Will be very interesting to see the run on team for the 3rd test.. wonder who will get a 'rest' next..

Shocking stuff. Our batting line up needs a complete shake up

Finally, Clarke's going up the order.

For Clarke, there is no longer any option. He has been content to bat at No.5 but after watching this appalling collapse, the third consecutive implosion on this tour, the Australian skipper declared he must go up the order.

“I have no choice," said Clarke, who backed up his 130 and 31 in Chennai with 91 and 16 in this Test.

"Again, it hasn’t been about me, it’s about trying to do what’s best for the team, and I think now, especially in these conditions, I have to bat higher."

Good to see Clarke finally making the decision to move up the order..

I am assuming Khawaja will now get a run.. so either a batsman or an allrounder will drop out.

If it was a batsman you would think Hughes will be in the firing line.. I'm a fan of Hughes so I'm, despite the poor 2 Tests, hope they maintain faith that he will come good... can't just keep dropping him all the time and recalling him.. need to give him a decent run. He performed well in Australia in the season just gone.

I would hate to be in that dressing room at the moment... Clarke would be livid.

Must have been embarrassing for the players having to train out in the middle straight after they lost.

They should come home and play the Kiwis or Grade Cricket, at least they might have a chance
