10. Kasiano
11. Pritchard
12. Williams
13. Jackson

Bench

Awesome forward pack!!

Give him another year in the NSW Cup. He'll get a few games around Origin and I can't see Turner staying with the Dogs past this season. He could easily bag a spot on the wing in 2014 and could push Inu for a centre spot.

Turner is the most experienced, it makes sense. He wouldn't have been re-signed if there was no intention to put him in first grade.

I hear Nathan Massey has returned, are there any plans to move him to fullback and Barba to the halves down the track? Or has he missed the boat on this one?

i rate Lafai as quite a talent and for a good portion of last year was advocating experimenting with Lafai at left centre with Morris as left wing as a way to incorporate him into the team... but Morris has cemented his spot at left centre and i am not sure whether Lafai is anywhere near as effective at wing or on the right side of the field

Once Graham is back I would like to see this-

1. Ben Barba
2. Sam Perrett
3. Josh Morris
4. Krisnan Inu
5. Steve Turner
6. Josh Reynolds
7. Trent Hodkinson
8. Aiden Tolman
9. Michael Ennis
10. Sam Kasiano
11. Frank Pritchard
12. Josh Jackson
13. James Graham

14. Tony Williams
15. David Klemmar
16. Greg Eastwood
17. Dale Finucane

18. Dene Halatau

With Grahams ball handling and playmaking I think he would fit well at lock. Thoughts?

Doesn't really matter. Whether you play him at lock or prop he's going to play the same way. It is just a matter of how it affects team balance. I don't think it would be a bad idea.

VERDICT
The Bulldogs will again be one of the heavyweights of the competition. With no considerable losses in personnel and the addition of Australian Test player Tony Williams, anything other than a top-four finish will be considered a failure. The team’s only weak link is at No.7, with the Bulldogs lacking a world class playmaker. A premiership is not beyond the boys from Belmore with last year’s grand final heartbreak sure to provide ample motivation. Hasler will ensure there is no complacency.

X-FACTOR
Tony Williams(http://nrlfantasy.foxsports.com.au/ SuperCoach price: 305,900 )
He might just be the most intimidating player in the NRL. Tipping the scales at 115kg, Tony Williams has the ability to rip teams apart with his explosive running game. Williams didnt reach his full potential last year, but expect to see him back to his devastating after being re-united with Des Hasler.

ROOKIE MONSTER
David Klemmer (http://nrlfantasy.foxsports.com.au/ SuperCoach price: 87,500 )
The biggest pack in the NRL is about to get a whole lot hefty with 120kg former Australian schoolboy David Klemmer expected to feature in the NRL this year. Standing at 200cm, the 19-year-old is 4cm taller than Sam Kasiano and just as heavy.

PREDICTION: Second

GAINS
Tony Williams (Sea Eagles)

LOSSES
Sione Kite (Widnes, mid-season), Michael Lett (Illawarra Cutters, mid-season), Jonathan Wright (Sharks), Jake Foster (Raiders), Luke MacDougall (retirement), Tupou Sopoaga (Sharks), Bryson Goodwin (Rabbitohs), David Stagg (Broncos), James Gavet (Tigers)

how about Moses Mbye as a bolter for the half back spot?

i'm not sure halfback is his spot... in particular, i'm not sure he has the kicking game to be a FG halfback

While Benny hopefully gets the help he requires it means a shuffle of our side for round 1.

Personally I'd move Inu to fullback and bring Lafai in at right centre, what are peoples thoughts?

Yep, that's the way to go.

I think drury low might get a run

i would move Steve Turner back to fullback in Barba's absence

forgot about him, he played well in our first trial match

Read on The Kennel someone suggesting Morris to fullback and Lafai to left centre. Not sure if he'd want the job but Morris would be a super fullback I think. Depends how long they think Barba will be out for (behind closed doors I reckon). Short term and they won't want to change too much, longer and someone like JMoz given time to adjust could be fantastic.

Morris would be really poor at fullback IMO. His only qualifications for being a fullback are having two arms, two legs and being able to run the ball well.

Support play? Ball-playing? Positioning in attack and defence?
cpr_89

cpr_89

I think Morris has proved time and time again that his position is centre. His next best position would be wing, fullback is a very distant third. Actually I would almost suggest backrow before fullback.

If there's any centre you could move to fullback it's definitely Inu. Move Morris to the right and then have Lafai on the left. That's what I'd do. Otherwise like I said, I think Low will come into the team.

this is a crap feeling...u would think I would be used to it by now..gutted

but the show must go on

provdes somebody else with an opportunity

can Mitch Brown play fullback? I don't know much about him

I know Nathan Massey returned to the club, another option

NSW Cup didn't play over the weekend so not sure..>Daniel Abou SLeiman is good talent same with Templeman but they are not ready for the step up

considering the pressures associated with the fullback position, not to mention replacing Barba, i would think the club better served in moving a FGer who can play fullback (eg. Perrett, Turner, Inu) than bringing in a fringe/young player to kick off the season

Morris does not have the hands to play fullback
UGoodthings

Perrett is your best bet at fullback. No barba, but plays good field position, & runs good returns. Only draw back he has is he rarely makes a bust, but he is solid.

Can izzy play fullback ?

I forgot about Perrett I was thinking Turner

I reckon turner he was pretty much doing some of the fullback role anyway

mitch brown was after the fullback spot at the tigers but had moltzen and tedesco in front of him. he left the tigers so he could play more nrl. unfortunatly he got injured last year but from all reports has been playing great in the trials. inu was a hit at fullback with parra but lost form with the warriors when lockie was their no 1. we have druey low, tim lafia and young jon talioe sila who can play wing/center. i would bring in brown and leave the rest the same to not disrupt the team. not sure about turner has got good positional play but has lost a bit of speed. my team at the moment would be

brown
low
inu
morris
perrit
reynolds
hodkinson
tolman
ennis
kasiano (taupau)
pritchard
eastwood
jackson

keating
williams
taupau (klemmer)
finucane
haletau

Former Canberra back Drury Low is favourite to wear Barba's No.1 jersey in the club's opening round clash with North Queensland at ANZ Stadium after deputising for him in trials.
Steve Turner and Mitch Brown are other options Hasler may consider but Low is understood to have been training at fullback during the off-season.
